What started as a personal frustration — the inability to find maternity wear that was both beautiful and functional — became a calling. Uyo channeled her background in fashion merchandising and her identity as a first-generation Nigerian-American into building something that didn't exist: a brand house where mothers and children are designed for with the same care and intention as anyone else.

Xavier saw the potential in Uyo's vision from day one — not just as a product line, but as a platform. His expertise in operations, logistics, and strategic planning has been the engine behind MWL's growth from a single SKU to a multi-brand portfolio. He believes great products deserve great infrastructure.
